About

White Rabbit Red Rabbit is a theatrical experiment in which a different performer each night opens an envelope with a script they have never seen, performing it without rehearsal or a director. It was written by Iranian playwright Nassim Soleimanpour, who was forbidden to leave his country at the time of writing, and it asks questions about obedience, choice and freedom of expression. Since its 2011 premiere it has been translated into more than 30 languages and performed over 3,000 times, and this London season celebrates its 15th anniversary. On 8 June the performer is Lucian Msamati, with other dates featuring names such as David Tennant and Riz Ahmed.
