About

I Became We is a world premiere play at the Linda Gross Theater, a first-person monologue performed by a sixteen-person choir. Written by Mona Pirnot, with music by Jack D. Coen and lyrics by Pirnot and Coen, and directed by Sarah Benson. It tells of a woman in her mid-thirties wrestling with one of life's most important decisions, its plainspoken contemporary language sung in the stylings of classical choral music. The formally-daring, auto-fictional play runs 70 minutes with no intermission.
