LUCY WILLIAMS

Miles McEnery Gallery presents "Lucy Williams: Beautiful, Perfect Things," the artist's inaugural solo show at the gallery, running from 10 September to 31 October 2026. Lucy Williams, born 1972 in Oxford, UK, creates intricate architectural mixed-media collages that teeter between realism and abstraction, inspired by the British modernist movement and Bauhaus architecture. Her scenes build worlds of splendid color, varied textures, and an atmospheric sense of light, using carefully sourced materials such as paper, Perspex, engineered wood, and embroidery thread on birch ply panels. The exhibition is accompanied by a fully illustrated catalogue with an essay by writer Emily McDermott.
