Malika Zarra Quartet

An evening of live music at a Brooklyn bar's bandstand, performed in two sets. The Malika Zarra Quartet is led by award-winning singer, composer and producer Malika Zarra, joined by JC Maillard on guitar and voice, Mamadou Ba on bass and Yayo Serka on drums. Zarra, a multi-cultural shape-shifter, moves effortlessly between Moroccan Arabic, Amazigh (Berber), French and English, her mezzo-soprano conveying both powerful and subtle feelings. A cash suggested donation supports the show, and the bar serves a full dinner and cocktail menu for those who come early to eat.
