Southern Oracles

Southern Oracles is a multidisciplinary concert by The Black Air Poets exploring the touchstones and mythology of South Side neighborhoods everywhere. It was conceived and produced by slam poet and author Scott Woods with music director and drummer Dr. Mark Lomax II. The show fuses jazz, hip hop, poetry, and dance to interrogate social memory and navigate political ironies—and finally settle what to serve at a cookout.
