The Ask

The Ask is a brand-new play in a strictly limited engagement at Theater 555. It was written by Matthew Freeman and directed by Jessi D. Hill, and stars Marilu Henner as Greta and Shannon Purser as Tanner. Greta, a longtime donor with strong progressive views, meets Tanner, a young ACLU fundraiser hoping to secure a significant gift from her. In her Upper West Side apartment, the fundraising pitch turns into a gripping clash between two generations, as shared beliefs give way to surprising disagreements.
