About
An evening of screening and discussion examining the Visible Human Project, a late-1990s effort sponsored by the National Library of Medicine to create a complete 3D rendering of the human body for educational use. It features the short film Visible Woman, from the exhibition Overexposed, a presentation by ophthalmologist and photographer Benjamin Freeman, and a discussion with curator Elisabeth Sherman. Now in the public domain, the project's images raise questions about consent and normative ideals.
