About

Writing Across Borders is a six-week, online genre-agnostic workshop for writers who move between poetry, fiction, non-fiction and drama. It is taught by Sam Cha, a Pushcart Prize winner born in Korea and author of The Yellow Book (PANK, 2020), who also teaches at GrubStreet and has taught at Northeastern and UMass Boston. The workshop explores dislocation, amnesia and writing as an immigrant art through techniques of erasure, constraint, surveillance and stitching fragments together. Each class opens with a discussion of a genrefluid text, from which participants build prompts and share work for critique.
