A PLACE TO PLAY. THE CENTRO EDUCATIVO ITALO-SVIZZERO IN RIMINI
An exhibition on education and architecture.
ETH OAT, Andreasstrasse 5, 8050 Zürich, Kreis 11
About
An exhibition about the Centro Educativo Italo-Svizzero (CEIS), a children's and youth village founded in Rimini in 1946. It is organised by the Chair of Construction Heritage and Preservation at ETH Zurich together with the cultural association The Formwork and the Fondazione Margherita Zoebeli. The show presents how education, social responsibility and architecture come together in the urban context, through photographs, archival material, original furniture and film projections. It traces the history of CEIS and the links between Italian and Swiss architecture from the Second World War to the reconstruction period.
