Hans Ulrich Obrist Archives: Maria Lassnig – ‘Living with art stops one wilting!’

An exhibition of the Hans Ulrich Obrist Archives at Luma Westbau is dedicated to the Austrian artist Maria Lassnig (1919–2014). For the first time, it brings together the complete series of her video interviews with Hans Ulrich Obrist alongside their extensive correspondence, arranged in chronological order. It also features selected watercolours, the biographical film The Ballad of Maria Lassnig (1992) and the animated film Selfportrait (1971). The title quotes a sentence from Lassnig's final, unfinished letter to Obrist dated 11 January 2014.
