Rot is a special exhibition at Museum Rietberg dedicated to masterpieces of Chinese lacquer art. It was created in collaboration with the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur in Münster and presents outstanding lacquer objects from China. The works impress with their technical mastery and layered symbolism, with flowers and birds standing for harmony and dragons and phoenixes for power and good fortune.
