About
"Schulprojekt: Mittendrin" is a closing concert performed by around 300 primary school children together with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in the Grosse Tonhalle. Behind the project are the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich together with Schulkultur Stadt Zürich and Schule+Kultur Kanton Zürich; Christopher Morris Whiting conducts and Mattis Sussmann is in charge of the staging. At its centre are Swiss folk songs ("Vo Bärg und Tal", arranged by Florian Walser), sung by a school choir. The children prepare with conducting and singing workshops and get to know the instruments; admission is free, the concert lasts about one hour and is suitable from age 5.
