Whalefall

About

Whalefall is a thriller. While diver Jay Gardiner searches for the remains of his late father along the Pacific coast, he is swallowed by a massive 24-metre-long, 60-tonne sperm whale. He is left with only one hour before his oxygen runs out. The film comes from director Brian Duffield and stars Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue and Jane Levy.

Critics

6.1Good

Critics praise the claustrophobic suspense, striking visuals and the lead performance. They fault the sentimental, overstuffed father-son flashbacks that dilute tension and depth.
