80 Angry Journalists
Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, Schumannstraße 8, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
The documentary "80 Angry Journalists" is screened, followed by a talk with its director. Hungarian journalist András Földes, himself part of the news outlet Index's editorial staff, documented the events around its collective resignation in July 2020 over five years. The film addresses political influence, internal conflicts and the fight for independent journalism in Hungary, focusing on three perspectives: the editorial team, journalist Veronika Munk and lawyer László Bodolai. The Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung hosts the evening of film and discussion, moderated by Reporter Without Borders.
