Ab van Hanegem | Doodlemath
Galerie Gilla Lörcher, Grolmanstr. 28 10623 Berlin
About
The exhibition "Doodlemath" presents works by the Dutch painter Ab van Hanegem at Galerie Gilla Lörcher. His recent, expressionistic yet architecturally constructed paintings use isometric perspective instead of traditional vanishing points and are inspired by topology. The artist, born in 1960 and living in Vlissingen and Berlin, calls these "impossible structures" "thinking spaces". The gallery was founded in 2009 by the philosopher Gilla Lörcher and focuses among other things on contemporary abstract painting.
