“Borrowed Light” is an event within the discursive series “L is for the Way You Look at Me II” at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt. The series rethinks the concept of love, understanding the body as a porous, transformative and cross-species site within a web of microbial and planetary systems. Through workshops, lectures, performances and other communal activities, it explores how bodies attune themselves to the world – across food cultures and healing practices, astrology and agriculture, music and poetry. The October 30 program takes place in collaboration with Asymmetry.
