CAN DÜNDAR

The live narration »Ich traf meinen Mörder« is a reading with journalist Can Dündar. The exiled journalist tells how he received a letter from prisoner Serkan Kurtuluş, who claimed he had been given the order to murder him. From meeting this man in a prison in Buenos Aires came Dündar's account of secret deals between democratic and autocratic governments and their ties to organised crime and terrorist organisations. Dündar was editor-in-chief of the newspaper Cumhuriyet and was sentenced in absentia in Turkey to 27 years in prison for espionage.
