About

"Candy for Crocodiles" is a solo exhibition of paintings by the artist Ralf Kokke at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery. The pictures show a colourful fantasy world full of plants, fantastical creatures and hybrid beings, inspired by the idea of never growing up from Peter Pan. In this seemingly idyllic world a threat remains present, such as a crocodile that evokes the finiteness of life. Kokke's figures nevertheless approach this danger with tenderness rather than fighting it, inviting us to see the world differently.
