About
A theatre evening presenting Carl Zuckmayer's play "Der Hauptmann von Köpenick" as a staged reading with live music. The actor Max Hopp, himself born in Köpenick, performs alone all the characters of the true story of shoemaker Wilhelm Voigt, who in 1906 stormed the Köpenick town hall disguised as a captain. The musician Doris Decker plays the stage music. The material holds up a mirror to a society in a uniform frenzy and shows a man who does not fit into society.
