About

everybody is a group exhibition at the Georg-Kolbe-Museum. Curated by Eva da Silva Antunes Alves, it gathers works by Pauline Boudry and Renate Lorenz, EVA & ADELE, Carolyn Lazard, Monilola Olayemi Ilupeju, Janne Kummer, Luís Lázaro Matos and Lauryn Youden, who approach the body as a dynamic formation marked by social, historical and emotional inscriptions. Drawing on Olivia Laing's book “Everybody – A Book about Freedom”, the objects and installation works create spaces of experience for radical vulnerability, connectedness, autonomy and resistance. The result is an open space of negotiation in which bodies are not only depicted but made tangible, challenged and celebrated.
