"Fäden verbinden Welten" is a workshop programme run by the Werkstatt für Kreative at Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank. It is organised by the Stiftung Kunstforum Berliner Volksbank alongside the exhibition Vietnam. Kunst. DDR. Reclaiming Solidarity. Participants ask how connections between people, materials and stories come into being, working with fabric scraps, paper, plastic and found everyday objects while approaching the Vietnamese tradition of weaving as a way of thinking with the hands. Talk, perception and hands-on art-making come together in small weavings in which origin, memory and the present overlap.
