About

"Refabricated Memories" is an introductory workshop into the world of fabrics and fibres, part of the Shape Festival. It asks about the relationship between fabrics and the sea and embarks on a multi-layered journey through the origins and foundations of the clothes we wear, departing from conventional and industrial narratives of fashion. Participants may bring materials such as fabric scraps, old clothes or sewing utensils; no prior sewing knowledge is needed. The workshop lasts about 210 minutes.
