Fake Jews
Deutsches Theater, Schumannstraße 13a, 10117 Berlin, Mitte
About
Fake Jews is an autofiction, a solo show with Moritz Kienemann on the Deutsches Theater's Box stage. Written and directed by Noam Brusilovsky, the monologue project looks at people who invent Jewish victim biographies for themselves. It takes its starting point from the fabricated memoirs of Binjamin Wilkomirski, presented as a Latvian Holocaust survivor, and the so-called Wilkomirski syndrome. The evening probes the blind spots of German remembrance culture.
