About

The bookshop Dante Connection invites to a reading with Massimo Gezzi, part of the week of independent bookshops and held in German and Italian. The author, who lives in Lugano, founded the literary platform Le parole e le cose and received the Swiss Literature Prize in 2016, reads from „Adriatica“, his first novel, published by Gramma Feltrinelli and nominated for the Premio Strega 2026. In it, Emilie, an angry young woman full of dreams, and Tullio, a man almost seventy, meet by chance on the seaside promenade, and their deep loneliness connects the two generations. The encounter takes place in an imaginary town on the Adriatic coast, exemplary of the feeling of life in the Italian provinces.
