About

"Linie 1" is a musical revue at the GRIPS Theater about life and survival in the big city. Volker Ludwig wrote the piece, with music by Birger Heymann and the rock band "No Ticket". Young Natalie arrives from the provinces in West Berlin and searches for the rock musician Johnny on subway line 1, where she runs into a colorful crowd of lost, searching, quarrelsome but also warm-hearted people. The revue travels back to the walled city of that time, full of hope, courage and self-deception, and first premiered in 1986.
