"Murray Fredericks" is the first solo exhibition at Michael Reid by acclaimed Australian photographer and filmmaker Murray Fredericks. Michael Reid presents key photographs from his decades-spanning Salt project alongside more recent images from the Blaze, Vanity and Dog Fence series. The pictures distil light, horizon and interventions on the land into images that move towards minimalist abstraction, tracing a long inquiry into space, duration and the psychological states that emerge through prolonged immersion in landscapes such as salt lakes and the 1,500-kilometre Dog Fence.
