Sinn und Sinnlichkeit
About
"Sinn und Sinnlichkeit" is a cinema adaptation of Jane Austen's novel. Director Georgia Oakley tells of the Dashwood sisters, who after their father's death face social decline, first great love and equally great disappointment. At the heart of it is the close bond between the two sisters, who live through and discuss their experiences together and grow through them. Oakley stays close to the women and what they go through.

Critics
7.1Good
Critics praise the lead performances, the confident female perspective, and the fresh, naturalistic visual style. They fault the loss of Austen's ironic humor and that the romances crowd out the sisters' relationship, preventing a truly distinct reinterpretation.
