About

The Berlinische Galerie presents the video work „Particular Waters“ by artist Su Yu Hsin in the IBB-Videoraum. The trilogy follows the material foundations of digital technologies: water, desert and silicon, resources and landscapes without which computer chips, data centres and artificial intelligence could not exist. It travels to Hsinchu in Taiwan, to the Arizona desert and to Dresden-Gittersee, turning to the ecological and political conditions of digital infrastructures. Su Yu Hsin, born in 1989 in Taichung, lives in Berlin and Taipei.
