Überraschende Begegnungen is a public guided tour for adults in the special exhibition Porträts!. Überraschende Begegnungen von Botticelli bis Lempicka at the Gemäldegalerie. The Staatliche Museen zu Berlin feature it in the education and mediation programme accompanying the show. On the tour, masterpieces spanning five centuries unexpectedly come into conversation with one another. Artists from different periods address identity, beauty and the way people stage themselves.
