About

An intimate conversation forming part of the Darbar Festival 2026, a festival of Indian classical music with performances, talks and participatory events. Sandeep Narayan charts his journey from Los Angeles to Chennai, where he trained intensively in Carnatic vocal music. He reflects on his decision to move from his birthplace to India, the guru-shishya training that shaped his musicianship, and how his classical foundation opened up connections with hip-hop, R&B and global sounds. The talk is followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the audience.
