About

Dogstar is a darkly comic play at Hampstead Theatre. Daisy Hall wrote it, returning to Hampstead Downstairs after her sell-out hit Bellringers in 2024, and Lucy Morrison directs, following her 2025 sell-out hit Personal Values. The crew of the Dogstar are whalers with no whales left to catch, icebound for months with mutiny in the air as they cast blame. Strange heavenly visions appear among them: are they a symptom of scurvy, a result of the endless polar night, or a chance at salvation?
