About

Low Life is an exhibition about animal instincts, mischief, otherness and rebellion. It presents work by two contemporary artists, Derrick Guild and Katrin Moye. Katrin Moye is a ceramic artist in Nottingham whose sculptures and glazed works take inspiration from nature's rebels and troublemakers, such as a drunken raccoon, a mole, pigeons and stubborn weeds. Derrick Guild is a Scottish artist whose paintings make surreal, playful connections across the European art canon, using animal portraiture and added lover's eyes to probe the animal instincts that lie beneath the human surface.
