Million Dollar Quartet is a rock 'n' roll musical telling the true story of an impromptu 1956 jam session in a Memphis recording studio, where Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley came together by pure chance. It has a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux and stars Darren Day as Sam Phillips, the producer who discovered the sound of rock 'n' roll. The show follows a story of ambition, jealousy, rivalry and fame, set to a soundtrack of classics like 'Blue Suede Shoes', 'Fever', 'Walk The Line' and 'Hound Dog'. It first opened on Broadway and comes to London after a sold-out run at the Barn Theatre in Cirencester.
