About
Much Crazy About Nothing is a surreal new play set in a world where professional breakup agents are hired to end relationships on behalf of their clients. Voila! Theatre Festival and The Playground Theatre present the piece by Shhh Theatre, an emerging company making contemporary theatre around intimacy and modern relationships. As one employee begins to question the system they help sustain, the boundary between performance and genuine emotion starts to dissolve. Blending absurdity with wit, the play explores emotional labour, race, identity and modern intimacy, asking what remains of human connection when our most intimate relationships become transactional.
