About

'Passing: A writing workshop with Fieldnotes' is a free writing workshop exploring identity, displacement and the travelling fragment, open to all levels of writing experience. It is led by Elaine ML Tam, Senior Editor of Fieldnotes, and takes cues from Evelyn Taocheng Wang's exhibition and writing by Hilton Als, McKenzie Wark, Tiqqun and Richard Siken among others. Through informal exercises and guided reading, participants experiment with collective writing, montage and sampling, working with questions of performativity and non-belonging. Refreshments and workshop materials are provided, and 25 places are available on a sign-up basis.
