About

Chester Film Society presents a screening of the feature film Resurrection, made up with Picturehouse as part of a diverse programme of world cinema. In a future where humanity has traded its ability to dream for immortality, an outcast (Jackson Yee) finds illusion, nightmarish visions and beauty in an intoxicating world of his own making. A work of staggering imagination from visionary Chinese director Bi Gan (Long Day's Journey Into Night), it conjures vast, ever-shifting worlds on the brink of collapse in an era-spanning journey through our deepest and most human desires. The cast also includes Shu Qi, Mark Chao, Li Gengxi, Huang Jue and Chen Yongzhong.
