About
The Waterfront Museum holds open hours with free tours for families and individuals while its wooden covered barge is docked in Red Hook. The museum, aboard the Lehigh Valley Barge No. 79, was founded by David Sharps, a former juggler who bought the barge in 1985 and restored it as a performance space. The barge, built in 1914 for the Lehigh Valley Railroad, is the only surviving example of its kind and offers some of the best sunsets and waterfront views in the city. The museum also offers educational programs, circus acts, and a sunset music series.
