About
"DER ZAUBERER VON OZ" is a theatre premiere at the Pfauen venue of Schauspielhaus Zürich. It is directed by Bastian Kraft, based on the novel by L. Frank Baum, with an epilogue by Kay Matter. A whirlwind sweeps young Dorothy from Kansas into the Land of Oz, where she searches for the way back home. The ghost of Judy Garland, who became an icon through the Hollywood musical, mirrors this: the staging becomes a journey through a multi-layered dream full of longing, abysses and fears.
