Im Studio

Im Studio is a pop-up exhibition of 15 large-format photographs by Cortis & Sonderegger. With Double Take they rebuilt icons of photo history as models in their studio and photographed them, including the tools and materials used for the model making. The installation turns the studio itself into the image motif, the place where the trompe-l'oeils have been made since 2012. Proportions and perspectives are distorted and question photography as a craft-made medium, also in times of artificially intelligent image production.
