Seltene Enten

«Seltene Enten» is a theatre play by Jens Nielsen, performed at Sogar Theater in Zurich. A tenant experiences dramatic upheavals of weather and vegetation in her flat; her carer initially does not believe her but is gradually drawn into her world. Thunder and lightning fill the flat, raising questions about a flood, a hedgehog in the washbasin and whether the world outside even exists. Jens Nielsen combines literary virtuosity and fantasy with scientific facts, plus absurd humour and rapid-fire dialogue, in a chamber grotesque performed by Jonas Gygax and Gulshan Sheikh and directed by Ursina Greuel.
