Unter Pflanzen

A film evening with a talk afterwards at the Paulus Akademie in Zürich. The film follows a research team searching for florigen, a substance that could make plants flower, while biologist and author Florianne Koechlin visits Europe's most advanced laboratories and reveals how plants, fungi, insects and microbes communicate with each other. The artist duo Gerda Steiner and Jörg Lenzlinger blur the boundaries between humans and nature, creating surreal art installations from their living garden. Guests are the director Antshi von Moos and Florianne Koechlin; the moderation is by Sebastian Muders, head of the environmental and health ethics department at the Paulus Akademie, an event held with the association films for future.
