About
"Eingeschlossene Gesellschaft" is a comedy at the Berliner Kriminal Theater. The play by Jan Weiler, directed by Wolfgang Rumpf, shows a Friday afternoon in the staff room of a state high school, where six teachers are stuck between coffee cups, exams and their own personal sensitivities. When an angry father wants to talk about his son's at-risk admission to the final school year and the teachers refuse, he locks the group in and forces them into a highly unusual report conference. With pointed dialogue and dark humour, the play deals with power, responsibility, prejudice and an education system in which by now far more than just the students are put to the test.
