About
Etran de L'Aïr play a live concert of Saharan rock, Tuareg, surf and folk, with an opening DJ set by SENU (refugeworldwide). The family collective, founded in 1995 in Agadez (Niger), creates hypnotic, sun-drenched songs drawing on northern Malian blues, Hausa bar bands and Congolese soukous. Their music combines the Tuareg guitar tradition of the Sahara with pan-African influences – danceable, raw and conceived collectively. Interlocking electric guitars played in repetitive, circling patterns create a trance-like groove instead of classic song structure.
