About
„Herzbergmaschine“ is a documentary trilogy by Sven Boeck about the Jewish poet Gertrud Kolmar. The first part follows the descriptions of places and paths in Kolmar's letters and searches for them in today's Berlin; the other two parts deal with her sister Hilde Wenzel, who keeps a dream diary in Swiss exile, and her niece Sabina Wenzel, who talks about her aunt and the family in Paraty. The parts tell of Kolmar's forced labour in a Berlin cardboard factory, where she finds the last love of her life, and of the scars and wounds of the survivors. The director will be present; there is a film talk.
