Hollywood trifft Samurai

"Hollywood trifft Samurai" is a special exhibition with a limited run at the Samurai Museum Berlin. Together with Madame Tussauds Berlin, the museum presents a life-size wax figure of Uma Thurman in her role as the legendary "Bride" from Quentin Tarantino's cult film Kill Bill. Standing in the famous yellow training suit, she is shown among historical samurai armour, masterfully forged swords and original objects of Japanese cultural history. The exhibition links film history and pop culture with the world of the samurai, tracing images from Kill Bill back to the katana, the warrior code of Bushidō and samurai legends that still shape films, series, video games and pop culture today.
