About
A concert at the Jazz Institute Berlin as part of JazzFest Berlin: the project Melting Pot brings four young improvising musicians from different European cities together on stage for the first time, on saxophone, guitar, double bass and drums. Behind the project are the Berliner Festspiele / Jazzfest Berlin together with festival partners from Ghent, Wrocław and Oslo, each of whom invited one musician from their region. What makes it special is that the artists improvise beyond their usual contexts, crossing stylistic and geographic boundaries to create something new live. Afterwards, students of the Jazz Institute Berlin play a neighbourhood session at Café Carla that all music lovers can actively join.
