Kintsugi! Neu im Chamäleon is a contemporary circus production at the Chamäleon Theater in the Hackeschen Höfen. The work is made by Machine de Cirque from Québec, one of Canada's most established contemporary circus companies, and marks their debut at this Berlin venue. Nine acrobats gather at a bus stop that resembles purgatory and, over the course of a day and a night, work together to find a way forward, drawing on the Japanese art of kintsugi, in which broken pottery is mended with gold so that the cracks remain visible. Dreamlike staging brings many circus disciplines together, and the show lasts 110 minutes including an interval and is recommended for ages 12 and over.
