About
"Transport: Connecting Flights" is hyperrealistic puppet theatre in miniature format, following a refugee family through an airport terminal – a place of hope and hopelessness where prejudice and institutional barriers become painfully tangible. Behind the production is the Białystok Puppet Theatre from Poland, which demands responsibility against the backdrop of European migration policy. The piece is part of the Europe-wide celebrated six-part theatre series "Transport", which explores the effects of mobility in a globalised world. The productions use realistically designed scenographies populated by 3D-printed figures, and with a play style inspired by animated film and a 3D soundscape they create an immersive experience; the piece runs 45 minutes and is performed without spoken language, with a short introduction in English.
