»Transport: Cargo« is hyperrealistic puppet theatre in miniature format, performed in spoken English with German surtitles, lasting 40 minutes. Behind the production is the puppet theatre from Maribor, Slovenia, part of the Europe-wide celebrated six-part theatre series »Transport« about mobility in a globalised world. Using the example of a truck driver under time pressure, a systemic conflict unfolds, leading to a chance encounter at night and disaster the next morning. The piece asks about responsibility, justice and the ecological burden of our consumption.
