»GPO Box No. 211« is an object theatre piece without spoken language, in which the letter paper becomes the protagonist in a calm, dream-like staging. It is about mental freedom, isolation and communication. Behind it is the Dutch company Théâtre du Poulet with Chun-Shing Au, who shows letters he exchanged over three years with a political prisoner in Hong Kong – written in encrypted, poetic form because of censorship. The piece was awarded the ZKB-Anerkennungspreis at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel in 2024.
